Journeyman exam practice tests
The journeyman exam is open book and it's timed. Knowing the code isn't enough — you have to find it fast. These tests run the same way: book open, clock running. Every answer shows the NEC section to look up, and when you miss one, it tells you the exact mistake you made.
Know which code edition you're tested on
Code changes every cycle and states adopt editions at different times. Confirm your exam's NEC edition, question count, and allowed books with your state licensing board before exam day. Find your state's board →
